A deposit of $200.00 is required to reserve a trip and is 100% refundable if the trip is canceled 7 days prior to the trip date or if canceled by the Captain for Safety Issues such as bad weather.
Cancellations may be made more than seven days prior to the trip with no cancellation fee. Cancellations seven or fewer days prior to the trip, or failure for customer to show up for a trip, will incur a $200 cancellation fee that will be charged to your method of payment on file.
The daily Red Snapper creel limit is two fish per angler, with a 16-inch size minimum.
The Mississippi 2023 dates have not been announced yet but we can expect it to be similar to the 2022 dates.
2023 Gulf of Mexico Federal Water Red Snapper Season
The 2023 for hire red snapper season in federal waters will open June 1st and run until the quota is met. Anglers must still comply with the bag limits set by state wildlife organizations.
Mississippi’s Red Snapper season will open for private recreational anglers and state for-hire vessels at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, May 27, 2022, with an anticipated mid-season closure date of Monday, July 4, 2022, at 11:59 p.m. As with previous years, a mid-season closure will allow for Mississippi Department of Marine Resources (MDMR) staff to compile landings information and examine the potential for a season extension.
The season will be open seven days a week in both state and federal waters. The season will close if the annual catch target (ACT) for recreational fishermen is projected to be reached at any point after the season opens. It will also close if the Gulf-wide quota is reached.
