You will go out aboard the “Pescadox,” a 40’ Bertram, originally built in 1986 and fully up hauled in 2017. This is a clean, spacious vessel that comes powered by twin 500 HP Cumins engines. Perfect for accommodating up to six anglers, the “Pescadox” is fully rigged with modern navigational electronics and safety equipment. It is wheelchair accessible and has all you need for a comfortable day on the water. The air-conditioned cabin is equipped with a bed, a toilet, a shower, a kitchen, and a multimedia system for you to relax in between the bites. The “Pescadox” features a flybridge to spot any action beneath the surface and take in all the beauty of the local waters. You won’t have to worry about your catch: it will stay fresh during the day in an ice-box, waiting for you to return to the shore.
Fishing the entire Mississippi Gulf Coast with Captain Micah aboard his spacious “Pescadox” is an exciting adventure. Gliding in the stunning waters of the Gulf Coast of Mexico, you will be able to have a great time with your fishing rod. Captain Micah offers a variety of trips ranging from 4,5 hour close to the shore to an 8-hour offshore adventure. Whichever trip you decide to go for, Captain Micah will lead you to the hottest spots inshore, nearshore, to the wrecks, reefs, and flats.
Depending on what is biting and the season, you will be targeting Redfish, Black Drum, Cobia, Speckled Trout, King Mackerel, Tripletail, Jack Crevalle, Grouper, Sheepshead, and even Sharks. There is also nothing better than chasing Red Snapper during the hot summer months! The captain will clean and fillet whatever you decide to keep.
Enjoy your ride with Fishing Frenzy Charters aboard “Cobia”, a 27’ center console, which comes powered by twin 140 HP outboard Suzuki engines. Its navigational electronics include a GPS, a VHF radio, and a fishfinder. This fast and spacious vessel is wheelchair accessible and can comfortably take up to 5 guests.
It is equipped with outriggers, a live bait tank, an anchoring system to make sure the boat stays comfortably where you want it to, and an ice-box. What’s more, there is a porta-potty toilet and a shower on board – what else is needed?
Whether you want to target the mighty Cobia, chase a bull Redfish or land a Speckled Trout – with Capt. Micah, you can experience some outstanding catches. Typically, after a day on the water, he returns to the dock with an ice chest full of Cobia, Jack Crevalle, King Mackerel, Flounder, Tripletail, Speckled Trout, and Redfish. You’ll also be able to target Spanish Mackerel, Snapper, Black Drum, and Tarpon.
It doesn’t matter how much time you intend to spend on the water and which species you would like to target – the crew will work hard to make sure you have an eventful day. You can choose from fishing inshore, the wrecks, reef, flats, or head further offshore. The crew is familiar with many fishing techniques, which include drift fishing, popping, jigging, spinning, trolling, and bottom fishing.
Your trip will include the fishing equipment, live bait, lures, as well as the licenses. The catch will be cleaned and filleted after the trip. What more could you want?
